Backyard Fun

Gavin and I decided to stay home today and just relax, as I've got lots of housework, etc to catch up on.   But it got very boring, so we took some playtime out in the back yard!!

Here are the photos from our fun playdate with Auggie!

Shaking Things Up Today - (Homemade Shakers)

Decided to make shakers using tupperware and food in the house.  (I made sure to use tupperware that Gavin cannot open, it's the twist and turn tops)

I used some pasta, rice and candy corn.

Gavin enjoyed the different sounds each one made.

And here's a video of Gavin.  He didn't interact much with them, I think he was distracted with other things in the kitchen lol.

Gavin, Pots & Wooden Spoons

I've been searching for some fun activities to do with Gavin because I feel like he gets bored with books and toys and I came across this easy activity.  playing the drums with Pots, Pans and Spoons!

Well, I set him up in his high chair, gave him his instruments and this is what happened..

Not much lol.  He's in a "mood" today!  I really think he might be teething, I just don't see any teeth!

What's new?

There's been many fascinating "firsts" the past couple of months.  To catch everyone up on what's been going on, so far he can crawl, pull himself up and stand, he walks while holding on to things, say "ma-ma, da-da, ba-ba, and na-na", he likes to scream and laugh, play with things that are not toys, and loves to eat!  He has no teeth yet, but has the perfect smile!  Yesterday, he stood himself up, let go and stood all by himself without holding on to anything!! (for a good 10 seconds or more).  I am so happy!!  Every new thing he does makes me laugh, smile and sometimes cry (because he's growing so fast and I don't want him to LOL).  I'm hoping to get that standing on his own captured on video or pictures to share with all of you.

Today, I did capture something new.  Lately he's been crawling into and onto things that I never thought he would. (Last week, he was in the dryer, and on top of the dishwasher door lol)

And today he crawled into the entertainment center cubby.

So cute, right?!  haha.  He sat there for a good few minutes.

I love his curiosity!

Welcome!!

Hello to all my friends, family and new strangers! :)  I've decided to create a blog for those in my family that do not have Facebook and get to enjoy seeing Gavin grow through pictures, videos and activities!  I am so excited to share the love with you.  It's been an amazing past 11 months on this journey of mother hood and I'm very much looking forward to everything to come.
