I am completely exhausted, as any mother would be...but Gavin is taking NO naps!! UNLESS..we are in the car, or if I'm snuggled up with him. Which is nice, but with those two options, I can't get anything done! lol. His naps used to be like clockwork. 9:30 and 2:30 every day he would go down, with no fuss. Now, for the last month or so, I'm getting no naps. I lay him down and he cries for an hour, sometimes more. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I keep thinking, well maybe it's teething or a growth spurt... I know he's tired because he gets cranky, cries, and rubs his eyes. But as soon as he sees the sight of his crib, he starts resisting and cries on the top of his lungs. I try to read a book with him, nurse him, and rock him, but he won't give in. And this isn't just a problem during the day..nights, I get no sleep either! He does lay down good for his bedtime, which is around 7:30-8:30...but then he's awake around 10 to nurse again. After that, he's back down but then up again at midnight..and it's the same routine, every 2 hours. Then finally when 2 am rolls around, I just end up bringing him into bed with me, because that's the only way I can get my sleep. He ends up just using me as a pacifier and nurses all night long. So, I've spoken to a few other moms and some of their babies are now down to 1 nap a day which lasts 2-3 hours! sounds awesome! But I just feel like I'm doing something wrong. Gavin eats good, gets enough fluids, plays all day long, so I'm sure he's tuckered out. But why no nap? I'm so looking forward to getting those naps back, and I cannot wait to get more than 2 hours at a time of sleep during the night.
